Sailing is back at Rosmoney with a summer camp for improvers.

Summer sailing camps are back for improvers in Clew Bay

MAYO Sailing Club are opening their popular junior sailing camps on Monday next, June 29, for improvers level and above only.

This is following guidance by Irish Sailing.

Bookings are now open on mayosailingclub.com, initially for two weeks and only for half-day camps.

The choice is either a morning session from 9 a.m. to 12 noon or an afternoon session from 2 to 5 p.m. It is not an option to book both morning and afternoon.

As the clubhouse will not be opened due to current Covid-19 restrictions, children need to be dropped off in wetsuits ready to rig their dinghy and get into the water, and be picked up to go straight home when they finish.

There will be no changing or other facilities available. The focus this year is on sailing for fun so children will be out on the water as much as the weather permits.

For children who are not up to improvers level sailing, there will be updates on the club website (mayosailingclub.com). It may become possible to offer other courses as the summer progresses.

Further information, pricing, protocols and booking can be found on the Mayo Sailing Club website - log on to https://mayosailingclub.com.
