Alert issued over stealing of dogs in Mayo

Dog owners, be vigilant.

The Bofeenaun and Lahardane Community Alert Facebook page has published a notice that a number of thieves are roaming the area with the intention of stealing unsupervised dogs.

They were spotted in vans in Castlebar and Massbrook earlier today.

“Please don't leave your dogs unattended. Dog theft is a huge business,” the alert added.
