Businesses in Mayo benefit from Covid-19 Restart Grant

Businesses in Mayo have received €4,769,676 to date from the government’s Covid-19 Restart Grant to help them get back on their feet, Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon has revealed.

Mayo County Council is responsible for administering the grant and has confirmed that small and micro businesses in Mayo have now been allocated €4,769,676.

“This is crucial to helping Mayo businesses to get back on their feet after what has been such a difficult few months,” commented Deputy Dillon.

“The funding is designed to help businesses with the costs associated with reopening and re-employing workers following Covid-19 closures. Businesses can avail of between €2,000 and €10,000 for this purpose.

“Getting these businesses back open is so important to the revival of our local economy here in Mayo as they are such important employers.”

The application form for the Covid-19 Restart Grant is available on the Council’s website, and Deputy Dillon is encouraging all micro and small business owners in Mayo to apply for the grant to help them get up and running again after the pandemic.
