MAYO has recorded no new Covid-19 cases as figures nationally increased by 45.

There have been no new deaths reported to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre today.

As of midnight Monday, the HPSC has been notified of 45 confirmed cases of the virus. Some 77% of the affected people are under 45 years of age and 31 cases are associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of a confirmed case, with four identified as community transmission.

The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.
