Partial refund announced for GAA season ticket holders

THE GAA has announced that they are cancelling the inter-county season tickets for the rest of the remainder of 2020 and season tickets holders are to get a partial refund.

The refund will amount to €40 for adult tickets and €10 for juvenile tickets will be returned to season ticket holders over the next two weeks, and the GAA Season Ticket office have stated they are currently processing queries directly with GAA Season Ticket holders

The Mayo and Dublin footballers are the only two counties to have a full subscription of season ticket holders - with 3,500 each.

The €120 season ticket entitles holders to admission to all of their county's league games in their chosen code as well as their opening championship fixture.

It also entitles them with the option of purchasing tickets at a reduced rate for the succeeding championship games - and depending on their attendance record, a coveted ticket for the All-Ireland final should their team make it that far.

“The decision was taken with regret but in response to recent queries and to acknowledge that given the pandemic it will not be possible to offer an assurance that capacity at inter-county venues later in the year will be able to cater for demand,” said a statement from the GAA.
