82 days since Mayo's last hospitalised confirmed Covid case

It's 82 days since a confirmed Covid-19 case was last admitted to Mayo University Hospital. 

That's according to information recorded by the HSE at the centre at 8 p.m. last night.

The last confirmed case at the centre was recorded on June 9.

Since June 9, the number of confirmed case in Mayo increased by 18 - but none of those cases required treatment at the Castlebar facility.

Nationally, there are 31 confirmed cases being treated in Irish hospitals today and 71 suspected cases.

There are six vacant general beds in MUH today, an increase of six in 24 hours, and one vacant critical care bed, no change.
