Mayo's 14-day Covid incidence rate on a downward trajectory

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of one additional death related to Covid-19.

As of midnight on Saturday, the HPSC registered 318 new confirmed cases.

They include seven in Mayo which, with 105 new cases in the past two weeks, has a 14-day incidence rating of 80.5%, below the national average of 109.1%.

Of the cases notified today:

155 are men / 161 are women

73% are under 45 years of age

The median age is 28 years old

126 in Dublin, 45 in Cork, 28 in Limerick, 21 in Donegal, 18 in Kildare and the remaining 80 cases are spread across 18 other counties.

As of 2 p.m. today 282 Covid patients are hospitalised, of which 31 are in ICU.

A total of 17 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
