Mayo man elected president of Irish Shorthorn Society

MAYO man Kieran Flatley has been elected president of the Irish Shorthorn Society.

He becomes the youngest president in the society's history.

An active member of the local Moyside Shorthorn club, the Kilkelly man comes from a family who are well-known in cattle breeding circles. The Glann Shorthorn herd have a reputation for producing top quality stock and regularly feature among the winners at agri shows all around the country.

On his election this week, Flatley promised to build on the good work of the previous council.
