Irish Blood Transfusion Service clinic in Mayo this week

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is texting donors in Ballina and Crossmolina to make an appointment to give blood in a centralised clinic in Ballina this week.

The clinic is located at Ballina Community Sports Centre, Cathedral Road, from today (Tuesday) until Thursday (February 25).

Regular donors are being asked to call the phone number on their text for an appointment.

New donors are also needed too, but they should visit giveblood.ie before making an appointment.

Safety and social distancing measures are in place for everyone's safety. Donors with clinic notification or appointment texts are exempt from government-imposed travel restrictions in order to give blood.

Hospital demand is constant so Mayo donors are needed to give blood this week. The clinic will be operational from 3.45 to 8 p.m. for the next three evenings.
