Boxing at home programme designed for families

Get all the family active with the fun and interactive Mayo Startbox at Home programme with Mayo Sports Partnership and the Irish Athletics Boxing Association (IABA).

As part of the government's Keep Well Campaign, Mayo Sports Partnership, the IABA, Sport Ireland, Mayo County Council, Healthy Mayo, Ballinrobe Sports Hub and Ballyhaunis Sports Hub have teamed up to roll out this Startbox at Home programme for families in Mayo.

The aim of the programme is to introduce children to the sport of boxing through interactive online boxing and skipping sessions.

In return for full commitment to the programme, each family will receive access to a four-week interactive programme and resource pack.

The programme consists of 17 interactive sessions, including 11 IABA boxing specific videos and 12 skipping ‘exercise with me’ tutorial videos, which will be sent to each participating family via email and text each week.

Session one will be circulated via email and text before the programme starts. Your week’s session plans will be circulated each Monday morning at 10 a.m.
