Dream week for de Bromhead at Cheltenham

IT was another week to remember for Ireland at the Cheltenham Festival.

Trainer Henry de Bromhead has become the first trainer to land the Champion Hurdle (Honeysuckle), Champion Chase (Put the Kettle On) and the Gold Cup in the same week, as Minella Indo, ridden by Kerry's Jack Kennedy, fended off fancied Al Boum Photo and A Plus Tard to claim the big race of the festival.

In addition, Minella Indo is owned by Mayo native Barry Maloney, who owns the Mount Falcon Hotel in Ballina.

Tipperary's Rachael Blackmore claimed the first race of the day, the JCB Triumph Hurdle, on Quilixios and went on to win top jockey of the festival with six wins.
