Filling station in south Mayo temporarily closes to due Covid-19

A FILLING station in Ballinrobe has closed on a temporary basis due to a Covid issue.

Corrib Oil, Ballinrobe, had announced on Sunday that due to a Covid issue among some staff members, they took the precautionary issue of closing their deli on Easter Monday to allow for deep cleaning and a full sanitisation of the area.

In a statement on their Facebook page last night, management said: “As you know over the past few days we have been negotiating some COVID impacts on the business.

“During this time whilst our normal business was interrupted we tried to remain open and serve you our valued customer while working within the public health guidelines and protocols.

“Unfortunately, the situation has further developed this evening and we now feel that the only alternative at this time to protect staff and customers is to close our doors. We hope this will be for a limited period and we will keep you posted.

“We apologies for the inconvenience that this decision may cause.”
