THE following are today's Mayo death and funeral notices.

MARY MURPHY, BALLINA

Mary (Bunty) Murphy (née Helly), Childers Heights and late of Barrett Street, Ballina.

Predeceased by her parents John and Sarah, sister and brothers, Phyllis, John James, Willie, Eamon and Tommy. Bunty, beloved wife of Gerry and loving mother to Tony, Alan, Derek, Lorraine, Gerard and Charlotte. Deeply regretted and dearly missed by her loving husband , sons, daughters, sisters Maggie, Esther and June, brother John, sons-in-law Gary, Heuri and Peter, daughters-in-law Anne-Marie and Melodie, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mass of the Resurrection took place in St. Muredach’s Cathedral, with burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery.

MARTIN KENNEDY, BELMULLET

Martin Kennedy, Carne, Belmullet, and formerly of Sydney, Australia.

Predeceased by his loving wife Carmel (Shannon) and his parents Pat and Agnes. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving daughter Bridget, brother Josie (London), sisters Mary O’Connor (Ballisodare, Co. Sligo), Katherine Mangan (Shore Road, Belmullet), twin sister Marilyn O’Donoghue (Brisbane, Australia) and Teresa Healy (Carne, Belmullet), brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles in law, relatives and many friends.

Funeral Mass took place in St. Joseph’s Church, Binghamstown. followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.

MICHAEL SWEENEY, BALLINA

Michael Sweeney (better known as Mickey), Roy, Doohoma, Ballina.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ellen Sweeney, uncle Michael Joe, brother John Joe and sister in law Monica. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his sister Mary McGuire (Dooriel, Ballycroy) and her husband Tom, nieces Teresa, Bridget, Kathleen, Ellen, Mary (China), Michelle and Bridget Ellen and Michelle, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandniece, great grandnephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass took place at St. Pius X Church, Doohoma, followed by burial in Doohoma Cemetery.

NORA JENNINGS, CASTLEBAR

Nora Jennings, Pine Grove, Rathbawn Road, formerly of Redhill, Ballyvary.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary, brother Tom, Martin, Pat and sister Maria.

Deeply regretted by her sisters Teresa (Castlebar), Kathleen Lightfoot (Birmingham), Bridie Burke (Birmingham) and brother Mick Jennings (Birmingham), sister-in-law Susan (Fermanagh), nephew, nieces, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass took place today (Monday) in The Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, burial afterwards in Turlough Cemetery.

TONY CREANE, BELMULLET

Tony Creane, Holloway Road, London and formerly of Ballymacsheeran, Binghamstown, Belmullet.

Predeceased by his father John (Ballymacsherran), mother Sabina (née Gaughan, Doohoma), sister Bridgie McIntyre (Monaghrory, Clogher), brothers Seán (Lincoln, England), Michael James (Ballymacsheeran and Holloway Road, London). Tony will be sadly missed by his family, brothers Paddy (Lincoln), Willie (Lincoln), Malachy (Cross, Binghamstown), sisters Sarah Grey (Lincoln), Mary Bell (Lincoln), Annie Ruddy (Carnefowler Belmullet), Sheila Spindley (Scunthorpe), Katie Hesketh (Rugby) and Julie Beer (Nottingham), nephew/carer Declan (London), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Mass followed by cremation will take place on Wednesday, April 21, at 4.15 p.m. at the Islington Crematorium, 278 High Road, East Finchley, N29AG. Memorial Mass will take place for the late Tony Creane at a later date.

PATRICK MALONEY, SWINFORD

Patrick (Patsy) Maloney, London and formerly, Sancta Maria, Swinford.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Josie Maloney. He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his sisters Margaret and Nancy, his brothers Michael and Seamus, sister-in-law Catherine, nieces Anna, Margaret, Maura and Sarah, nephews Michael, Patrick and John, grandnieces, grandnephews and extended family members.

SR. MARIAN CORONA HUGHES, HOLLYMOUNT

Sr. Marian Corona Hughes, Convent of Mercy, Dún Laoghaire, formerly of Ballymangan, Hollymount.

She is predeceased by her brothers Pat, Peter and Tom, her sisters Martha, Gretta and Eileen and is survived by her sisters-in-law Betty and Agnes, her nephews and nieces, her grandnephews and grandnieces, cousins, and extended family.

RAPHAEL SUNDAY MURPHY, BANGOR ERRIS

Raphael Sunday Murphy, late of Cloontakilla, Bangor Erris, Co. Mayo.

Raphael was a loving son, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed by his mother Helen, sister Racheal and brother Marvellou, Tony and Claire Murphy and all their families in Bangor Erris and all the extended family and friends that were part of Raphael’s all too short life. Raphael has entered the hearts and minds of many people in Mayo and beyond and will forever remain with us in our thoughts, our hearts and prayers.

Removal from Gilligan’s funeral home, Market Square, Claremorris, on Wednesday, April 21, at 12.30 p.m. for funeral Mass at 1 p.m. in St Colman’s Church, Claremorris. Raphael will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Claremorris.

ANN MCFADDEN, NEWPORT

Ann McFadden (née Quinn), Glenard Crescent, Salthill, Galway, and formerly Corragaun, Newport.

Predeceased by her loving husband John, her parents Peter and Bridget and her brothers and sisters John Francis, Mary, Tereasa, Margaret, Patrick Joseph and Paschal and her dear friend and companion Fergal Murphy. R.I.P.

Much loved mother of Paul, Caroline, Claire and Shane. Ann will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, her eleven adored grandchildren Alan, Ruth and Mark, Bethany and Joy, John Patrick, Alannah and Cillian, Max, Seren and Myles and by the extended Quinn and McFadden family, lovely neighbours and good friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Ann at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill. at 1 o'clock. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.
