Mayo-based firm set to create up to 150 new jobs after €8.3m. funding boost

Mayo-based global payroll management company, Payslip, has secured additional funding of €8.3 million following the close of their Series A funding round.

This will result in significant ramping-up of recruitment as the company expands to up to 150 new jobs needing to be filled in their offices at Westport and Dublin.

Recruitment will primarily focus on software developers, engineers, project managers, tech support and customer success roles.

Welcoming the announcement, Mayo Deputy Alan Dillon said: “The successful funding round undertaken by Mayo-based company, Payslip, is testament to the payroll solutions they are providing.

"I understand the company has had a record year of growth and this latest investment round is a real vote of confidence in Ireland.

"The new funding for Payslip will result in 150 high-value jobs needing to be filled in the FinTech space especially at their offices in Mayo and Dublin.

"I wish Payslip founder and chief executive, Fidelma McGuirk, every continued success in what will be an exciting phase of expansion, as well as commending both her and their management team for growing the company to the scale it has now achieved.”

"Further enterprise support funding was provided through Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Startup (HPSU) programme and demonstrates the important work being done by Ireland’s enterprise support agencies in Mayo.

"The switch to remote working and the need for global approach to payroll solutions will be a massive growth sector in the years ahead and it is amazing to see a Mayo-based company playing a major role on the global stage.”

Fianna Fáil Senator Lisa Chambers also welcomed the creation of the 150 jobs at the payroll technology company.
