Emergency repairs being carried out to burst watermain in Ballina

Irish Water, working in partnership with Mayo County Council, is advising customers in Rockwell, Ballina, that repairs to a burst watermain will have an impact on their water supply today.

Commenting, Sean Higgins, asset operations lead for Irish Water, said: “A crew is carrying out emergency repairs as quickly and safely as possible and traffic management will be in place while these essential works are underway.

“It is likely water supply will be off until 2 p.m. today but it may take two to three hours for normal supply to return.

“Irish Water understands the inconvenience to customers when their water supply is affected and we would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation while this unplanned outage is attended to.”
