Appeal issued after kayaks are stolen from Mayo search and rescue team

Two kayaks have been stolen from a house in Tavnaughmore, Foxford.

They are the property of Foxford Search and Rescue team.

They were stored at the house in Tavnaughhmore to accommodate members using them on Lough Cullin for training purposes.

Local Councillor Neil Cruise has issued an appeal for their return.

He said: "We all know the valuable work that our search and rescue team do in our community.

"This is our chance to help them by getting this vital equipment back where it belongs.

"Please contact local gardaí if you have any information."

Councillor Cruise said people can also contact him with information that may lead to the recovery of the kayaks.
