Emergency works approved for east Mayo school

FUNDING has been approved for emergency works at St. Joseph’s Community College in Charlestown.

The funding is for mechanical and electrical works to address leaking water storage tanks in the roof serving the main school, male and female toilets, engineering and science room and general classrooms.

Welcoming the allocation, Deputy Michael Ring said: “I look forward to the works being completed as quickly as possible for the health and safety of the pupils and teachers in this school.”
