Mayo train on newly-resurfaced McHale Park as focus turns to Galway clash

The Mayo senior football squad have trained on the newly-resurfaced Hastings Insurance McHale Park in Castlebar.

They did so under floodlights yesterday evening as they began preparations for their Connacht SFC quarterfinal against Galway at the venue on April 24.

The squad has been on a low since suffering a heavy defeat to Kerry in last Sunday's National League final at Croke Park.

But minds are now firmly focused on ensuring their championship campaign gets off to a winning start at home.

As earlier reported, a number of injured players are receiving treatment and hope to be in contention for selection for the game against the tribesmen.
