Enhancement works along new Mayo walkway

The new walkway linking the car park at Lough Lannagh in Castlebar with the town's new swimming pool and leisure centre is being enhanced.

The area has been closed off to facilitate a tree-planting project.

Several ash trees have been planted along the route to help further enhance the location over the coming years.

The Lough Lannagh area has been transformed into a wonderful local amenity due to considerable investment over the past two decades and there are further plans in the pipeline.
