Old cash & carry to make way for new Mayo housing project

The O'Connell's Cash & Carry building at Horkan's Hill in Westport is to be demolished to make way for a housing development.

Erris Homes Property Development Limited is applying to Mayo County Council to build ten semi-detached houses on the site.

It will also include a new entrance road.

Before it was used as a cash & carry, the building housed the Pavilion Ballroom.
