Vandalism incidents at Mayo town's community garden condemned

The polytunnel in Foxford's community garden has been vandalised twice over the last number of days.

Local Councillor Neil Cruise has expressed disappointment over the matter, describing the incidents as 'acts of needless and senseless destruction'.

He stated: "There are a lot of people trying their best to work on and develop the community garden.

"They do not deserve this. Our community garden is used to cultivate fruit and vegetables and is of great benefit to the children in Foxford National School.

"If anyone has any information, please contact Foxford Garda Station.

"Acts of needless and senseless destruction are not the Foxford way of doing things," he added.
