Mayo football club announces launch of exciting development programme

Castlebar Town FC has announced the launch of its exciting development program for 2022.

The club has some ambitious plans for the years ahead, with a number of capital projects in the pipeline and the development of its academy and adult teams.

The fundraising committee has a fantastic fundraiser planned to kick off over the June bank holiday weekend. Among the great prizes on offer are home heating oil, hotel breaks, barbeque, cash prizes, hampers, and much, much more.

The official launch will take place over the day in Market Square, Castlebar, on Saturday, June 4, where members of the public will have the opportunity to purchase tickets.

The Castlebar Town women's team, recently crowned Connacht senior champions, will have the Mary Walsh Memorial Cup with them as they launch the fundraiser. The draw will take place on July 30 live on Facebook

Castlebar Town FC was founded in 1974 and prides itself on diversity and inclusion while, at the same time, promoting the development of its academy and adult teams.

Speaking about the launch of the club development fundraiser, co-founder and club president Anthony McDonnell said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for the club and will help fulfill its ambitions both on and off the pitch. I would like to thank all our sponsors for making this possible.”

Tickets for the draw cost €10 and are available from club members and at the Market Square, Castlebar, on June 4.
