Don't forget to pack clothes in that case!

Naked truth emerges over cheeky April Fool's Day post

A CHEEKY April Fool's Day social media post by a business in Ballaghaderreen has hit a bum note with some potential customers.

Willowbrook Glamping and Hideaways have found that some people did not get that they were just having the craic when they advertised on April 1 about a proposed nudist weekend.

Now, with more enquiries than expected, they're having to email people who have booked in for the June bank holiday weekend to make it clear that everyone will have to keep their clothes on.

The family friendly camping and glamping business shared an email that has issued to customers on their social media, saying it's not the kind of email they ever thought they would need to send out.

The email set out: 'On 1st April we put a cheeky post up on our socials saying that the June bank holiday weekend this year would be a nudist weekend where everyone is allowed to hang around in the nip on site all weekend.

'It seems that quite a few people didn't check the date when they seen the post and so didn't understand that we were just having a bit of craic, and that it was an April Fool's joke.

'We have had way more enquiries than expected about the nudist weekend so we thought it might be prudent to make things clear to those booked in for the weekend.

'Firstly, please rest assured it is NOT a nudist weekend so you needn't worry about getting an unwanted eyeful.

'Secondly, if anyone who has booked since April 1st was expecting a birthday suit bash for the long weekend, sorry to disappoint you but it's not going to happen. If you have booked with that expectation, please get in touch with us before the end of the weekend and we will happily cancel your booking and offer a refund.'
