Mayo EuroMillions player scoops €500,000

EUROMILLIONS players in the Westport area are today being urged to check their tickets carefully after a Mayo player won the top prize of €500,000 in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at the Maxol Service Station on the Newport Road in Westport.

Store manager Yvonne Duffy was delighted to get the call about the win: “This is great news for Westport! All of us here in the store - myself, Pauric and the entire team - are thrilled to hear that one of our customers now has a ticket worth €500,000.

“I am sure the winner must have gotten some surprise – that’s if they have even checked their ticket yet! We will see lots of our customers eager to scan their tickets in-store today.

“We wish the winner all the very best with their big win.”

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, June 21, EuroMillions Plus draw were: 07, 25, 26, 28, 41.

The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket, which is now worth €500,000, and keep it safe. The winner should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

As there was no winner of the incredible €143,671,414 jackpot on offer in Tuesday night’s draw, Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €160 million.
