Multiple league successes for Mayo soccer club

Castlebar Celtic FC have enjoyed a number of league triumphs in recent weeks.

The club's Under 17 boys side were crowned league champions after they came from behind in to beat Westport Utd at Celtic Park yesterday (Wednesday) evening in a playoff.

United took the lead in the first half but strikes from Celtic's Cian Walsh and Andre Ludden saw Celtic crowned champions.

They will look to make it a double when then face Ballina Town in the Under 17 cup final, with a date for the final to be confirmed.

Castlebar Celtic, Under 15 girls league champions

The Castlebar Celtic Under 15 girls were also recently crowned league champions against Claremorris after a fantastic game of football from both teams in Celtic Park.

The young Hoops only needed a draw to clinch the title. The Celtic girls never say die attitude paid off and the came back from 2-0 at half-time to clinch a 2-2 draw and the title.

These girls still have a Connacht Cup semi-final against Knocknacarra on Sunday, July 3 in Celtic Park to look forward too.
