Rain and thunderstorm warning for Mayo

A STATUS yellow rain and thunderstorm warning has issued for Mayo on Friday for a 24-hour period.

The warning covers Munster and Connaught and is valid from 12 noon on Friday until 12 noon Saturday.

Met Éireann have forecast heavy showers or longer spells of rain with thundery downpours in some places, which may lead to spot flooding.
