Housing charity warns public about bogus representatives

THRESHOLD has issued a warning to members of the public about bogus individuals posing as their representatives.

They have been made aware of several serious incidents in the west of Ireland of individuals posing as Threshold representatives to order to gain information or access to properties.

A statement from Threshold set out: “We want to advise and warn the public that these phone calls and house calls are not in any way related to Threshold, and it is not our remit to carry out such actions.

“Anyone who receives contact or encounters someone claiming to be from Threshold for a ‘house inspection’ should report the matter to the relevant authorities.
