ALDI turns sod on new €7m. east Mayo store

ALDI has commenced work on its new €7 million Ballyhaunis store, with the first sod officially turned on the site.

The new outlet will create up to 30 new permanent jobs in the locality, as well as 50 jobs during the construction phase.

Located on Upper Main Street, the environmentally friendly store is expected to open in summer 2023 and will be powered by 100% renewable electricity.

The spacious new store will feature 101 car parking spaces and 10 bike parking spaces, providing ample parking to customers, whether cycling or driving to the store.

ALDI will also be investing in the future of Ballyhaunis through the provision of four free-to-use electric vehicle charging points.
