Paul Kavanagh congratulates Castlebar Celtic's Jordan Loftus. He scored Celtic's second in their win over St. Canice's

One Mayo club left standing in FAI Junior Cup

There was a mixed day for Mayo League clubs in yesterday's FAI Junior Cup fourth round ties played in dismal conditions across the county.

Nine-time winners Fairview Rangers saw off a gutsy Manulla on a 2-0 scoreline. Manulla defended superbly for long periods but Fairview led through a Steven Bradley penalty on the stroke of half-time.

Manulla pushed for an equaliser but were caught on the counter in the 79th minute as Jack Arra cemented Manulla's exit.

Castlebar Celtic advanced to the last 32 with a 2-0 win over St. Canice's in Celtic Park.

Luke Kelly put the Hoops ahead inside 20 seconds and Jordan Loftus sealed the win early in the second half.
