The launch of two books of contrasting interests attracted a large attendance to day four of the Wild Atlantic Words Festival in Castlebar.
Retired Vice Admiral Mark Mellett DSM, a native of Castlebar, launched fellow county town man Kevin McDonald's book, 'A Life Less Ordinary', a revealing insight to his life as a soldier, mountaineer and archaeologist.

One of the highlights of the festival takes place this evening at 7.30 p.m. when best-selling author Sally Rooney reads from her latest novel, Intermezzo, and the Festival Dome is completely booked out for the event.
