Dry start to the week in store for Mayo

A bright start will be followed by showers, according to the latest forecast.

Any mist and fog will clear in the morning and tomorrow will be another bright day with sunny spells and some well scattered showers in the mix.

Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light southerly winds.

MONDAY NIGHT:

Many places dry with clear spells to begin on Monday night with mist and fog patches returning.

It'll turn wet and blustery from the southwest as cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle gradually spread northeastwards over the country.

Some of the rain will be heavy, with spot flooding possible.

Lowest temperatures will range 3 to 5 degrees in the north and east where it'll stay driest and clearest for longest, 6 to 9 degrees elsewhere.

Light to moderate southeast winds will increase fresh to strong and gusty as the rain develops.
