Mayo jobs boost as Dovida holds countywide hiring days

Ireland's leading home care provider, Dovida, is to hold a series of recruitment events across Mayo later this month as part of a nationwide hiring initiative.

The company's National Hiring Day takes place on Thursday, June 18, with three events planned across the region - in Charlestown, Louisburgh and Castlebar - aimed at growing its care team to meet increasing demand for professional home care supports.

People attending on the day will have the opportunity to speak directly with Dovida staff, learn about available Caregiver roles, and receive guidance on training and career progression.

Wayne Devy, Dovida's North and West Regional Manager, said the initiative was open to those new to caregiving as well as experienced professionals. "Our expanding range of services is opening up new opportunities for people in home care," he said.

"National Hiring Day offers a unique chance to learn more about us, our values, and the excellent career paths we offer in caregiving and beyond."

Dovida Caregivers provide a range of services supporting people to live independently in their own homes, from assisting older people with day-to-day tasks to supporting those with disabilities to participate in community life.

The company offers full and part-time positions with flexible hours across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Comprehensive training and opportunities for personal and professional development are also provided.

"By joining our team, you will have the chance to change the lives of people in your community and develop the skills and expertise to build a rewarding career in care," Mr Devy said.

The three Mayo-area National Hiring Day events on Thursday, June 18, all run from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m.:

Yeats County Inn, Curry, Co Sligo

Town Hall, Louisburgh

TF Royal Hotel and Theatre, Castlebar
