Passing of much-loved Ballaghaderreen woman

The death has occurred peacefully at her residence in her 100th year of Annie Towey (nee Lynch), Main Street, Ballaghaderreen.

She is survived by her sons Fr. Tommy, John, Martin and Patrick, daughters Patricia, Kathleen, Imelda, Gerardine and Madeline, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Mattie. The deceased was mother-in-law of Mayo Fine Gael TD, Deputy John O’Mahony.

Her remains will be reposing at the home of John and Geraldine O’Mahony, ‘Tower House’, Market Street, Ballaghaderreen, on Tuesday afternoon from 3 o’clock until 9 o’clock and on Wednesday from 2 o’clock until 6.30 p.m.

The funeral will arrive at the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St. Nathy on Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock.

Mass of the Resurrection takes place on Thursday at 12 o’clock followed by burial in Kilcolman Cemetery.
