Gardaí issue warning as gangs are sucking diesel from vehicles

A DIESEL theft gang has been active in the Mayo area. 

Two Mercedes buses are among the vehicles which had their tanks emptied in recent days.

One was parked at Hotel Westport while the other was halted at the Park Hotel in Kiltimagh.

In a sperate theft, a white can parked at Breaffy House Resort was also targeted and fuel stolen.

Gardaí have appealed to van and other owners of diesel vehicles to take steps to securely lock their fuel tanks.
