Death of widely popular Castlebar woman

THE death has occurred of Olive Hynes (née Kilcoyne), Rathbawn Drive, Castlebar.

A member of an old and respected family, she was predeceased by her husband Stan and her brother Fr. Sean.

Olive will be fondly remembered as a kind and caring woman who dedicated her life to her family.

Deepest sympathy is extended to her daughters Siobhan (Gavin), Mary (Madigan) and Deirdre (Duane), sons Sean, Colm and Paul, brother Fr. Colm Kilcoyne, Castlebar, sister Marcella Carney (Galway), sons-in-law Pat Gavin, Joe (Duane), Frank (Madigan), daughters-in-law Claire, Jackie and Debbie, sister-in-law Barbara (Kilcullen), grandchildren, great grandchild Jack, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at the Coady Funeral Home tomorrow (Tuesday) evening from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to her daughter Siobhan’s residence, 4 Pontoon Drive, Castlebar.

Removal from 4 Pontoon Drive takes places on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the Old Cemetery.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
