International accolade for Mayo photographer
A MAYO photographer has captured an international sports photography award in Austria.
David Farrell, who has enjoyed a long career with the Western People, scooped the accoade at the Federation of European Professional Photographers Awards 2019.
His image was a black and white image entitled 'Battling for the Sliothar'.
Ballina man David captured the image at the Connacht IHC final between Tooreen and Ballinderreen last summer.
He was the only Irish photographer to be honoured in a competition that attracted over 2,250 entries.
