Tributes paid to former Castlebar student who has died tragically in Poland

TRIBUTES have been paid to Kacper Bura, formerly of Rinshinna, Castlebar, whose death has taken place in a traffic accident in Poland.

A former pupil of St. Patrick's National School and Davitt College, news of the tragedy last weekend has evoked a sense of huge loss and shock in the community.

The management, staff and students of Davitt College, Castlebar, have extended sincere sympathies to the Bura family on the tragic loss of Kacper.

A post on the college's Facebook page added: “Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this very difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis."

The board of management, staff, pupils and parents of St. Patrick's Boys NS extended deepest sympathy to the Bura family, Poland, on the tragic death of Kacper.

"A past pupil, he is fondly rememered by all," a social media post by the school stated. 

Joining in the tributes, Castlebar Boxing Club described the deceased as "just a lovely guy, well respected in the boxing scene."

During his time in Castlebar, he was a member of St. Anne's Boxing Club, Westport, and Aglish Boxing Club, Castlebar.

In a post on its Facebook page, Aglish Boxing Club, said: “It was with great sadness that we learned that former Aglish Boxing Club boxer Kasper Bura passed away in Poland at the weekend. Our sympathy and condolences to the Bura family. May you rest in peace Kacper.”
