€272,000 investment in Mayo childcare

AN investment of €272,045 in capital funding is being awarded to providers of early learning and care and school age childcare in Mayo, which will lead to the creation of additional childcare places in the county.

Strand A funding (early learning and care) is for new places for 0-3 year olds and allocations here are:

Mary Corcoran €46,097

Ballintubber Community Preschool & Afterschool €50,000.

Minister Michael Ring said the investment is a welcome boost for parents in the county and another step towards nationwide affordable childcare provision.
