Move initiated to tackle cyber bullying

A government move is being initiated to tackle cyber bullying.

Behind the move is the Oireachtas Committee on Justice and Equality.

The members are seeking to examine the nature and extent of the problem of online harrassment, stalking, 'revenge porn' and other forms of harmful communications.

They want to establish the best practice of addressing these issues nationwide.

Members of the public are invited to make submissions on or before September 20.

The committee is based at Leinster House, Dublin.
