Mayo gardaí report success in changing scam probe

GARDAÍ have had success with a change scam targetting supermarkets.

A person has been taken before the courts and charged with offences at a number of supermarkets.

There have been numerous cases of this person around the country.

A change scam involves a customer confusing the cashier so they end up pocketing more cash in 'change' than they paid over.
