Two national title wins in two days

MAYO athlete Maeve Gallagher is celebrating after two big wins this weekend.

The Swinford AC member travelled to Waterford yesterday (Saturday) to compete in the secondary schools national cross country finals and ran an amazing race to finish in first place.

Maeve was competing in the intermediate girls 3,500m race, representing St. Joseph's, Castlebar.

Twenty-four hours later Maeve was competing in Donegal where she was crowned junior national duathlon champion after scooping gold in Letterkenny.

Congratulations Maeve on an amazing weekend.

Also in Letterkenny, Westport's Con Doherty was winner of the Duathlon National Championships 2018.
