Mayo Under 13 team face Carlow in crunch encounter

The Mayo Under 13 squad is on the hunt for more silverware.

The Mayo Under 13 inter-league team continues its quest for further glory this weekend.

The newly crowned Connaught champions take on Carlow in the SFAI Subway Under 13 Inter-League Championship semi-final at 12 noon tomorrow (Saturday) in Solar 21 Park, Milebush, Castlebar.

This group of Mayo lads won the Jim Cashin Cup for the Under 12 Inter-League Championship last year, beating Dublin & District Schoolboy League (DDSL) in the final.

Carlow, meanwhile, beat the same DDSL team in the Leinster Under 13 decider just a few weeks ago.

It promises to be a cracking encounter between two strong yet skilful teams.

It's going to be a busy weekend all round for Mayo's underage representative teams, with the Under 15s taking on North Tipperary in the SFAI Subway Inter-League Plate semi-final at 2 p.m. on Sunday, also at Solar 21 Park, Castlebar.

There's a home tie too for the Under 12 team as they face Roscommon at 12 noon on Sunday, while the Under 18s are on the road tomorrow as they travel to take on Donegal in the FAI New Balance Youth Inter-League Cup at 2 p.m.
