No need to open the bubbly as jackpot went unclaimed

29 million lotto jackpot unclaimed

THERE was no big lotto celebration in Claremorris last night after time ran out at 5.30 p.m. yesterday (Friday) for a person who 'won' €2.9 million in a recent Lotto draw.

The €3 quickpick ticket was purchased at the Tesco branch, Silverbridge, Knock Road, Claremorris, on November 29.

By close of business yesterday nobody had turned up to claim the windfall.

The ticketholder had 90 days to claim the money but had not done so by the deadline.

This is the 13th unclaimed Lotto jackpot in the history of the State.
