Joes the man for mayo v dublin

CAVAN official Joe McQuillan has been appointed as the referee for Mayo's All-Ireland semi-final clash against Dublin on August 30.

He is no stranger to the two counties, having taking charge of the All-Ireland final between the sides in 2013.

Meanwhile, the Mayo County Board is appealing Kevin Keane’s red card picked up in the dying minutes of the county’s win over Donegal in the All-Ireland quarterfinal last Saturday. The GAA’s Central Hearings Committee will convene next week to consider the appeal.

If the red card is upheld, Keane would not be eligible for selection for the All-Ireland semi-final clash on August 30.

Injuries to Mayo goalkeeper David Clarke and defender Tom Cunniffe are being assessed on an ongoing basis.
