Funeral of fisherman who died at sea

THE funeral arrangements have been announced for Daniel Doherty, Carrowteigue, Ballina, the 23-year-old fisherman who died tragically while fishing.

The deceased had been missing at sea for two weeks before his body was found at Lacken Bay last Friday following an extensive search operation.

His remains will be reposing at Healy’s Funeral Home, Barnatra, tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon from 4 o’clock until 8 o’clock.

Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul takes place on Thursday at 12 o’clock in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Carrowteigue, with burial afterwards in Kilgalligan Cemetery.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Doherty family on their devastating loss.
