Mayo sports clubs benefit to the tune of euro13 million

OVER €1.3 million has been allocated for sports groups and organisations across Mayo under the Sports Capital Programme.

Up to 36 groups in Mayo will benefit from grants ranging from €80,000 to €3,000, according to the Minister of State for Tourism  and Sport Michael Ring.

He said the funding will allow a diverse array of sports clubs and groups to build and improve much-needed facilities, or to purchase sports equipment.

The successful applicants are as follows:-
