Erin's through to The Voice live shows

MAYO'S Erin Rice took another step towards being named The Voice of Ireland 2016 in the RTÉ television series last night.

The Swinford singer is through to the live shows after winning her 'battle' with her Team Rachel team-mate, Frenchman Loic Bontemps, who is studying in Dublin.

Erin won high praise from Kian Egan who told Loic: “Your falsetto was beautiful but then Erin came in and I was like wow this girl can sing. I don’t remember you from the blinds but I will remember you now.”

Bressie told Erin: “You are really good. You need to recognise that. I worry about people like you when you are not on my team.”

Mento Rachel Stevens said she thought both were better than they think they are. She chose to take Erin through, with Loic leaving the show.

The fourth of the 'Battle' auditions is on next Sunday night, with the live shows starting on Sunday, March 20.
