Stories behind the films

TG4's Hollywood in Éirinn is back for a second series to unearth stories of the silver screen in Ireland.

The six-part series will travel throughout the country seeking tales of when Hollywood made rural Irish towns their set and the inhabitants the cast and crew.

“We heard some charming stories last year, and it made a wonderful nostalgic series,” said producer Darina Clancy. “We realised there are so many more incredible untold stories out there, so we want to do it all over again.”

Darina is seeking people who were in any way involved with Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, Michael Collins, Far and Away, My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father, The Field, and Into the West.

No matter how big or how small, Darina wants to hear what happened when Hollywood rolled into town. If you took part in any of the above films or know of someone who did, contact Róisín on (85) 7683059 or seabedproductions@gmail.com.
