Mayo bride-to-be is reunited with her engagement ring after weekend search

A MAYO bride-to-be is 'the happiest girl' alive' after being reunited with her precious engagement ring.

Lisa Keane, who lives and works in Westport, mislaid the ring while shopping in Castlebar last Saturday.

She immediately issued an SOS through social media and outlined her anxiety in view of the fact she is due to get married next May.

As a result of her pleas, Lisa recieved a phone call on Sunday night from Castlebar man, Martin Newcombe, telling her he had found a ring in the car park at SuperValu in the town.

She said: “I was thrilled but was not sure it was the right one. I got in my car immediately and drove to Castlebar. I can't describe how happy I was to see the ring again and I don't think I can ever thank Martin enough.

“The ring is back on my finger now and I am the happiest girl alive. I thank everybody on social media for their amazing help in finding it. What a relief.”
