Warning issued over bicycle snatchers
BICYCLE owners have been placed on the alert following a spate of robberies in and around the county town.
In the latest incident, a vintage purple framed Coventry Eagle 'New Yorker' was taken yesterday at the Mall in the town, much to the anger of its owner.
It follows a number of previous cases in which bikes were stolen from public places despite being locked and chained to a structure.
Any member of the public who is offered a bicycle for sale by a stranger should contact their local garda station.
